Ballinastoe National Mountain Bike Trail Centre is located in the heart of the wild Wicklow Mountains in Irelands Ancient East, yet just 40 minutes from the Dublin City centre. If you are looking to experience some of the best mountain biking in Ireland than you have come to the right spot. The scenery showcases the coastline of the Irish Sea to the east, while looking west to Lough Tay and the Wicklow Mountains.
The trail network is a looped route that starts and finishes at the same point at the trail head located at Biking.ie bike rental/Trails Café/Car park. There is a defibrillator on site for emergencies.

This red grade route is difficult throughout with numerous severe sections along the route. The trails vary from fast and flowing to tight and technical. Frequently steep and narrow, with variable surfaces including rock, roots, mud, loose stones and gravel that may become slippery when wet. This trail is not for novice mountain bike riders.
