The South Wexford Route is the longest of the Wexford Cycle Hub Loops. It brings the cyclist to Rosslare Strand and on to the busy ferry port at Kilrane. Off the quiet roads to Lady’s Island signposts for several beaches are passed. The route on to Kilmore Quay is fast and flat and characterised by sudden changes in direction. The section between Wexford and Johnstown is uphill on the way out, but a few minutes freewheeling on the return and there is a climb and descent around Murrintown. Care is required on the N25, R740 and 739 as well as at many junctions along the way.
